Dingle is a town in County Kerry in the south-west of Ireland. The only town on the Dingle Peninsula, it sits on the Atlantic coast, about 50 kilometres (30 mi) southwest of Tralee and 71 kilometres (40 mi) northwest of Killarney. Principal industries in the town are tourism, fishing and agriculture; Dingle Mart, its livestock market, serves the surrounding countryside. An adult Bottlenose dolphin named Fungie had been courting human contact in Dingle Bay since 1983 but disappeared in 2020.

The town is surrounded by the Dingle Peninsula, which is home to some of Ireland's most dramatic landscapes. Dingle is also steeped in history, with evidence of ancient settlements and monuments scattered throughout the area. One of the most notable is the Gallarus Oratory, an early Christian church dating back to the 9th century. You can also visit the Blasket Islands, which were inhabited until the 1950s and offer a glimpse into traditional Irish life.
